Online or traditional teaching? What do the statistics say is more effective?

Although traditional education allows students to communicate face-to-face with their peers and teachers, online education began to dominate after the start of the pandemic in 2020.

Closures are estimated to affect approximately 70% of the total student population worldwide (UNESCO, n.d.).


Educational videos reached 34% audience among internet users worldwide in Q4 2021, according to the Education Online and Offline Learning Survey and other studies worldwide


In December 2020, the US National COVID-19 School Intervention Panel found that approximately 56% of schools adopted a hybrid model, with 29% offering individualized instruction.


In another survey, 55.2% of participants answered yes to the question of whether they benefited from online education.

According to Global Online Learning Industry Facts & Statistics, 52% of graduate students in the US preferred online education over traditional education (Duffin, 2019).

In our country, online classes, which are preferred by many students, and local courses have also been included in their teaching. "Dream Language School" has been teaching programs such as General English, Speaking Lessons, Pre-IELTS and IELTS online since the first months of the pandemic. Currently, new groups are being gathered in the course both online and offline.
